I couldn’t believe it! But there it was. My monster card game ICK featured in the pages of Mad Kids Magazine. It’s like my little creatures have been given the MAD stamp of approval by Alfred E. Neuman himself. I couldn’t be happier.

Last week I spent the day at Southport Elementry School and gave a little presentation about illustrating, art, and picture books.

The class was riveted by my book holding skills.

They were equally impressed with my finger pointing techniques.

We ended a fine afternoon by creating a cool collaborative drawing of: Tuggy, the cowboy, robot, tugboat.

It was loads of fun. The kids asked some great questions, and hopefully learned a little something about the creative process.

What a great way to kick off this blog. A few weeks back I had the pleasure of being interviewed by alpha chimp, Darren Di Lieto from The Little Chimp society. LCS is a great illustration and art news portal. Check it out if you want to find out what makes me tick.
